Check [Tiling] box to configure the tiling options.

The [Submit Tiles as Individual Jobs] option allows you to send each tile to RIP-Queue for printing as individual jobs. Using this option improves your speed because the first tile can begin printing while remaining tiles are being processed.

This option will include Bleed and Trim into calculations for tile size. The option [Number of Columns] or [Number of Rows] must be enabled for the [Include Bleed and Trim with fixed number of tiles] to be selectable.

These options allow you to specify number of tile columns and rows in your images. Check [Number of Columns] and [Number of Rows] radio boxes, then set numbers of columns and rows.

When you choose a print size larger than the maximum page size for the printer, the image preview displays tile lines inside the crop box. These appear as additional dotted lines similar to crop box lines. If your final output has multiple rows and columns, be aware that making adjustments to a single tile affects all tiles associated with the same row and column. All tiles in the same vertical column have the same width. All tiles in the same horizontal row have the same height.

 

To adjust a tile’s size:

1. Select the Tiles from the tree.
2. Click on the tile you want to adjust and enter new values in the [Custom Tile] area.

 

Row or column numbers count from upper left to lower right; those marked with an asterisk (*) use the default value for that dimension.

 

[Custom Tile Columns/Rows] allow you to create custom tile sizes for each column or row. When RIP-Queue creates the tiles, the first Custom Tile will define the size of the tiles in the first column or row. The second Custom Tile will define the sizes of the tiles in the second column or row, and so on.

 

• Add – This button allows you to add a new Custom Tile Column and Row. When clicked, this option opens the “Add Tile” dialog. Use this dialog to set your custom column and row sizes.
• Edit - This button allows you to edit a Custom Tile Column and Row.
• Delete – This button allows you to remove a Custom Tile Column and Row. You cannot undo this option.

The option shows default maximum Width and Height that are based on Page Size that you selected. You can change the both maximum tile sizes enter or click the spinner for your desired sizes

The [Overlap] option places a user specified overlap on either side of a tile. Overlap is applied as long as there is an adjacent tile. Tile Overlap helps you align and weld adjacent tiles.

 

[Overlap] has the following attributes:

• It applies to all tiles.
• It works the same way in the vertical direction as in the horizontal direction.
• It occurs only at printing time and is not visible when previewing an image on screen.
• It is only available if the print has more than one tile.
• [Overlap] does not affect tile size - Tiles are measured from the center of an overlap to the center of an overlap.

 

To set the overlap, type in the new dimension or use the up and down buttons.

 

NOTE: The overlap is divided equally to both sides of the tile; therefore a one-inch overlap will contain one-half inch of each adjoining tile. Tiles that are part of the outside edge of the image will have no overlap on the outside edge. When you set an overlap, you will see no change in the display image.

 

Weld Overlap - This option reserves a portion of the Overlap Tile area for the welding adhesive. Ink can inhibit the adhesive from forming a perfect bond when joining two tiles, and [Weld Overlap] ensures an ink-free area.

 

NOTE: You must have an overlap Tile area of at least half an inch to use [Weld Overlap].
